About

I’m a UX design leader based in San Francisco. I grew up in Japan, moved to the U.S. to work on things that challenged me, and I’ve spent 26 years doing that.

My career has gone from consumer electronics at Sony to design systems at Airbnb, data visualization at Splunk to platform redesign at Reddit. Different companies, different problems — same standard for the work.

I care about two things: the quality of the work and the quality of the team doing it. They’re the same concern.

My work has won Good Design Awards, iF Design Awards, and EISA Awards. CV available on request.
